Watch Dumpstaphunk destroy the Blockley before heading off to Bonnaroo. The video below features Ivan Neville, Tony Hall, Nick Daniels, Ian Neville, and the heavy-hitting female drummer Nikki Glaspie doing a cover of “Fame” and then watch as Ivan jumped off his keys and scooped up a guitar to have a nasty guitar jam with Hall and Ian.

More than likely you haven’t run across these dudes from Philly, The Extraordinaires’ but as soon as you hear them unload their freak folk in the same vein as Rubblebucket but with some old Drink-up Buttercup gusto. They killed their set last week opening for the Spinto Band and mixed up guitars, horn and rowdiness into everything from a bit of GnR’s “Welcome To The Jungle” to their own bumping original “Patent Pending.” Peep them slay the Kung-Fu Necktie in the video below!

Damian Jurado – Live in Philadelphia – 5.20.12

On a sleepy Sunday evening Damian Jurado stopped into Johnny Brenda’s to grace us with most of the songs off of his 10th studio album, Maraqopa. The Following video of Jurado doing a wonderful version of “Nothing is The News” from the Philly show. This is a shining example of some of the guitar heavy jamming that you can expect from him with a full band.

The new band from Minneapolis is a powerful four piece rock electronic band fronted by the unforgettable and heavily manipulated vocals of singer Channy Leaneagh.
